Biography

I transitioned from trial work to estate planning in 1995. From there my practice was limited to estate planning and its related areas of practice-trust administration and probate. Eventually, I and my firm added Elder Law in 2007, which provided us tools to assist clients in preserving assets while receiving Medicaid long term care benefits. This allowed the firm to provide a more complete range of services as our clients aged.

Along the way I have had the privilege of adding an excellent group of estate planning and Elder law attorney to carry out our culture of listening carefully to our client's goals and concerns, and then providing legally sound, practical solutions that work as expected.

We are different in that (1) our firm funds every trust that we create; (2) we charge fixed fees, not by the hour; this encourages our clients to call with questions without fear of getting a bill; initial conferences are at no charge; this includes review of a client's existing plan.
